Groupe Renfort is a Quebec-based company specializing in industrial services, primarily focusing on industrial innovation, industrial mechanics, machine safety, prototype design, and specialized manufacturing. Active in the manufacturing and industrial sectors, the group supports companies in optimizing their equipment by offering comprehensive solutions from risk analysis to compliance, including the design of safety devices and 3D scanning. Their expertise also encompasses prototype development, machining of complex parts, and maintenance of heavy equipment, helping clients ensure the safety, performance, and durability of their equipment.
In response to a critical health and safety situation in a factory,
Groupe Renfort called upon pointSpace’s expertise to scan 56 machines. Although the group typically handles this type of work internally, the scale of the project and the urgency of execution required a quick and efficient intervention. The pointSpace team was therefore brought in to capture and produce detailed plans for all the equipment, enabling rapid and effective management of the situation.
Proposed solutions
To meet Groupe Renfort’s needs, we implemented two key services:

High-precision LiDAR technology was used to capture detailed scans of all machinery and equipment. - 3D Modeling and Layout
We delivered recap files for each machine, along with STEP and SAT format plans compatible with SolidWorks and other industrial modeling tools.
